Official Plan Branding
The Planning and Development departments existing official plan was created in the 1970s. It's been updated several times since then, but the time has come to create a brand new plan that reflects where our community is today and where it going to go.
To help launch this new plan the Planning department wanted to create a unique brand that portrayed the identity of the Niagara Region. The Official Plan logo that I created portrays the identity of Niagara with the use of an abstract fingerprint design. The fingerprint of Niagara is what makes it unique and the impression it leaves on the world. The logo uses twelve circle segments to represent the twelve municipalities that make up the Niagara Region. The logo uses twelve circle segments to represent the twelve municipalities that make up the Niagara Region. Each segment uses a bright unique colour to represent the unique character and identity of each of our municipalities, as well to represent our vibrant energy.
Numerous elements were created to help support the logo and the plan I developed: accessible word and powerpoint templates, pop banners for public information centres, newspaper ad templates and well as information boards for the public information centres. information graphics and more. The branding will also be carried into the pending booklet.
